A modification to an existing 1880s farmhouse that a young couple bought as a retreat. Beefed up the structure of the house to handle the weight of the door when it is fully open. Project entailed a custom designed steel and glass door. Door is designed to fully open on a single pivot to create a sense of openness between the outside and inside when the couple is hosting friends. Designed as three separate panels so that one leaf can be active when it is just them.
