This simple, yet complex project with a local nonprofit arts organization allowed the team to show off our understanding of design intent. The original guardrail system was designed and fabricated by Kansas-City based artist, James Woodfill. Years later, the Bemis desired to continue the same design on the northern portion of the entry platform. Problem was the artist was inundated with work and unable to take on the project. That is when Polynomial was referred to the Bemis by several of our architectural collaborators. The artist reviewed the design and shop drawings and upon seeing the final installation let us know that he was pleasantly surprised with the end product and how much it met his intent.
