We will never forget the day we got the call. The architect wanted what? A custom-formed and laser cut steel guardrail for an existing wood-framed stair in a 1970s residence. We were excited for the challenge.
A 3D scan provided some clarity for the existing conditions and the Polynomial team quickly got to work refining the design to allow for tolerances in the system.
The vanity came after the owner fell in love with the stair. Hardest part? It is a laser cut steel cone and had to be rolled in both directions. This was the first official project of Polynomial and still the most complex to date.
