Shortly after the successful completion of this custom CNC-milled plywood and steel children’s play fort for Norfolk Public Library, the APMA team had an epiphany. What if custom could be easy and why hadn’t they engaged Polynomial earlier in the process?
Polynomial not only refined the design, we tested custom patterns for the plywood, developed a kit of parts steel structure that could be installed by the on-site carpenter, and worked with the felt manufacturer to deliver the complex tree structures. All while saving the design team the headache of trying to make it happen.
