Kent Bellows, who passed away in late 2005, is a legend in the Omaha art scene. Shortly thereafter the family created a foundation in his name to carry on his legacy of mentoring young artists and set forth to fully renovate his live/work space while keeping his elaborate sets intact. Long before he founded Polynomial, Dale led the team of architectural interns that designed and built out the space in a matter of 12 short weeks. Several custom elements were incorporated into the design and the project was ever evolving throughout construction. A valuable lesson was learned through this process that would later lead Dale to value the hands-on nature of design-build and its ability to impact architecture.
